Anger Management Classes

Anger Management Classes

Anger is a normal and healthy process that people experience but how to deal with it is a challenge for many. Managing anger is a process where a person learns to recognize signs of anger and know the actions to take when dealing with an action that makes them angry in a calm way. Anger, therefore, becomes normal and a healthy emotion. Our anger management class is designed for clients with clinical issues based on aggressiveness, hostility, and poor impulse control, rather than a pattern of power and control within relationships. The program concentrates on increasing clients’ self-awareness of their controlling and aggressive attitudes and behavior, reducing hostile thinking patterns, improving impulse control, enhancing their sense of personal responsibility and pro-social attitudes, and building multiple skills, e.g., conflict-resolution, problem-solving, communication, thought-stopping, and positive self-talk. These groups are generally co-ed.
